Deep in the piney woods where the crawdads sing
and crickets hum a tune,
My heart stills next to you.
In the stillness of the night when the cracking of a branch
echoes through the ground
To carry the angst.
Flow out.
Below the stars once more
that patina like an antique stone and gleam like white crystal.
Reminds me of how I am one with God
once more.
Amidst the dancing embers
to warm my chilled skin,
I’m connecting to lives past.
The energy forever lasts.
